Services for Charles D. Howe will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev Scott Johnson officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Amvets Post 1994. Burial will be at a later date as it was his wishes to be cremated after his services. Friends may call from 1:00 until time of services on Sunday.
He died at 9:52 pm on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 7, 1927 in Hardin County to the late Earl and Charlotte Mae (Whitmore) Howe. On April 16, 1949 he married Mary K. Sryock and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2016.
Surviving are 2 sons, Bob (Debra) Howe of Kenton and Marvin (Connie) Howe of Kenton; 6 grandchildren, Tina Sams of Kenton; Jason (Elizabeth) Howe of Kenton; Derek Howe of MI; Misti Howe of Kenton; Jamie Howe of Kenton; and Christina (Thomas) Frances of Kenton; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was a former mill worker at Root Lumber Company.
Charles was an Army Air Corp Veteran, a life member of the VFW, Amvets Post 1994, and the Kenton Bowling Association. He also was a member of the Hardin County Horseshoe Club.
Memorials may be made to the Amvets Post 1994 Honor Guard.
