Funeral Services for Barbara Schofield will be private. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
She died at 8:47 A.M. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at The Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was born June 2, 1938 in Richwood to the late Fred and Thelma (Dodson) Orth. On March 31, 1953 she married Dallas Schofield and he survives in Mt. Victory.
Also surviving are a daughter; Debra (Jim) Mabrey of Kenton, a son; Dallas Schofield of Lexington, KY, a sister; Betty Whitaker of Piqua, brother; Richard (Mary Ellen) Orth of Kinston, NC, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son; David Schofield and a sister; Bonnie Taylor.
Barbara was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Kenton, where she was actively involved in pioneer work.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, and playing various games on her I-Pad, but what she truly loved to do was spend time with her family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
